Sentrillion’s management team is committed to applying the highest standards of quality and excellence to every project the company undertakes. Through visionary leadership, dedication to superior customer service, deep knowledge of industry best practices, and experience in both government agencies and commercial companies, our leadership team is a guiding force that has been instrumental in the company’s success.
Mr. Kay is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sentrillion. He sets the vision for Sentrillion and is focused on customers, partners and employees. Mr. Kay is the former Chairman and CEO of OTG Software, a data storage software company that he founded in 1992. OTG became the leader in online data storage solutions and was acquired by Legato Systems in 2002. Mr. Kay remained on the board of directors until the acquisition of Legato Systems by EMC in 2003.
Mr. Kay is a partner in Monumental Sports and Entertainment and currently serves on the board of directors at the University of Maryland School of Engineering. He is a special partner with ABS Capital, a multibillion dollar equity investment firm focused on healthcare, IT and media companies. Mr. Kay is also an honorary member of the board of directors of Venture Philanthropy Partners.
Ms. Powers is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sentrillion. She oversees all financial activities of the company. A hands-on executive manager with a focus on growth she is also responsible for leading the Accounting, Pricing, Purchasing, and Human Resources business units for Sentrillion and its subsidiaries.
Ms. Powers has 20 years of experience in government contracting. Through her years at Sentrillion, she has played a significant role in the merger and acquisition activity heading up the integration of the accounting systems and the back office departments that she manages. Ms. Powers holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Christopher Newport University.
Tim Peters, CPP
Mr. Peters is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Sentrillion. He manages the physical security division including; engineering support services and operations, and maintenance (O&M) support services. The consummate security professional, Mr. Peters has over 35 years’ experience working security and force protection missions in support of U.S foreign policy, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) strategic objectives.
Mr. Peters had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 2001. From September 1984 to July 2001 he was a member of the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) where he held leadership positions at every operational detachment level on special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, direct action, unconventional warfare, and counter-terrorism missions supporting U.S. strategic objectives in politically sensitive and hostile areas within the Southern Command area of responsibility. Mr. Peters was awarded the Legion of Merit upon his retirement from the U.S. Army “Green Berets”. Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Mr. Peters joined Sentrillion and built the operational division responsible for successfully designing and implementing physical security solutions for the Department of Defense and for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Mr. Peters holds a MA in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University’s School of Business and Technology, and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
Mr. Ackerman is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and General Counsel of Sentrillion. He has nearly 15 years of corporate legal experience, specializing in government contract law, commercial agreements, corporate transactions, and corporate governance. In addition to his responsibilities as Sentrillion’s in-house legal counsel, Mr. Ackerman stresses excellence in the organization through a focus on compliance and quality.
Mr Ackerman also supervises the company’s contracts administration, compliance, government relations, network administration, quality management, marketing, and business development departments. He received his Bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.
Mr. Donlon is the head of the Homeland Security Solutions group of Sentrillion. Prior to Sentrillion, he served the Department of Homeland Security’s US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), holding several leadership positions, including Branch Chief, Border Security Deployment Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, as well as Deputy Director. Mr. Donlon received 17 commendations during his tenure and was also a nominee for the Samuel J. Heyman, Service to America Medal, for his role in leading the recovery efforts of CBP’s high technology enforcement equipment destroyed during Superstorm Sandy in New Jersey and New York.
Mr. Donlon also oversaw the planning and execution of the CBP’s logistical support of enforcement technology for National Security Special Events. Prior to his tenure at CBP Donlon served in several executive leadership positions with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 businesses.
David Newton, PMP
Mr. Newton is the Program Management Office lead of Sentrillion. He has been successfully managed government programs for over 25 years specifically in the areas of Information Technology and Electronic Security Systems. With more than 14 years at Sentrillion, he currently manages the Program Management Office (PMO) by providing leadership and oversight for all Sentrillion contracts.
Mr. Newton holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Information Systems Management (MSISM) from the George Washington University. Mr. Newton is a certified PMP and a long-time member of the PMI and IEEE.
Mr. Conroy leads Sentrillion’s deployment, implementation and maintenance support services. He has over 35 years of experience as a senior technology leader in Cyber Security Technology/Analytics/Policy, Life Cycle Systems Engineering, Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Operations, and Engineering Program/Project Management. His career has included the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where he served as the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enterprise Operations Director and then to a Deputy Executive Director within Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Mr. Conroy holds undergraduate Engineering Degrees in Civil and Electrical Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, and a Master’s in Cyber Security. He is certified as a DoD Chief Information Officer and DoD Chief Information Security Officer, DoD/DHS Program Manager Level 3, DoD/DHS Contracting Officer Level 3, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma and CMMI. He is also a DHS First Responder, and DHS Surge Capacity Force Member (Tier 3). He is on the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization, Border Commerce and Security Council (BCSC).
