We have an immediate opening for a director of business development. Under the supervision of the CEO, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for the following duties:
- Markets company capabilities to established and prospective government customers, prime contractors, and partners.
- Identifies potential business opportunities and negotiates agreements
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services in conjunction with executive management's vision.
- Represents the company at selected workshops, conferences, seminars, and other meetings and makes verbal presentations as required.
- Must be able to identify, qualify, pursue, and win new opportunities.
- Supports the development and management of sales/marketing operating budgets.
- Supports the planning and oversight of advertising and promotion activities.
- Develops and recommends services and product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
- Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
- Participates in proposal development process.
- Adheres to business process area quality assurance standards.
Experience
- Minimum of five to seven years in business development in the areas of government or health and information technology services.
- Experience working with the Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is preferred.
- Demonstrated history of sales ability and contract awards.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience.
