Contracts Administrator

Job Title: Contracts Administrator
Location: Reston, VA

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain an accurate and complete file of effective company contracts and related documentation.
  • Prepare, report, and maintain developments on contractual matters, including, but not limited to, invoicing and funding status, contract amendments or modifications, and recently executed, terminated, or expired contracts or agreements.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external clients, providing advice and counsel as requested.
  • Negotiation of contract terms, conditions, rates, and modifications.
  • Draft and negotiate non-disclosure, teaming, and subcontract agreements, as required.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in legal interpretations affecting government and commercial contracting.
  • Assist with, participate in, and review the preparation of proposals and quotations.
  • Deliver bid and proposal documents to end-user clients.
  • Conduct research for Corporate Counsel as needed.
  • Various other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 0 to 4 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally with a wide variety of individuals; in person, by telephone, and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment, interfacing with both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must be reliable, dependable, and trustworthy, as well as be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Davis-Bacon Act, McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act, Walsh-Healey Public Contracts Act, Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and all other applicable federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to government contracting.
  • Ability to work designated schedule, as well as maintain attendance and punctuality.
  • Possess proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical information in an easily understood manner; strong presentation skills.
